Yes but where did you do your Bachelors and in what?
Reason I am asking is, I have seen I-140s got rejected for some folks where the person did 3 years Bachelors or AMIE eventhough they had MS in USA (Specially with EB-2 cases).

Did you 4 years old get a visa yet? How about your neice and nephew? The agent in Thailand called my niece mother and ask for money in order to prepare her paperwork for an interview. Do you think she should hire an agent there to make sure she got everything correctly.

As the discussion of immigration bills is heating up, we have a need for a format of email (preferably culled from immigration voice home page). We need to continue the media contact blitz because many of these media folks don't know the issues pertaining the legal immigrants; in particular GC and I-485 issues.
I have already emailed this idea to 'contact us' email of immigration voice.
I have attached a sample media format, that we can work today and finalize.

They are facing many problems in their pursit of permanent residency. This discussion should specifically address the process of naturalization and obtaining a Green Card. Online status is not always updated and cannot be trusted that much, I recieved my EAD in October and online status still shows as PROCESSING. Have your friend talk to his attorney and employer and ask them if they have recieved I140 denial notice. And anyways your friend needs attorney's help as this is not a general question which can be answered on the forum by everyone. Tell him not to waste time and look at all the options. Good Luck

I am writing on behalf of a close friend who is too worried to write it for himself.
Case:
He is a July 2007 filer with PD of Nov 2003 and recently had his I485 rejected. Reason - I140 denied and no appeal. However, when he checks his I140 status, it says, its still pending. He had received an RFE on I140 in October 2007 about Employment status and he had submitted all the required evidence. He also is in the same company that filed his labor. The only change he ever made is moving to a new place in the same city. Does anyone have a similar experience? What needs to be done apart from consulting a good immigration attorney? Your advice will be much appreciated.

Did any of you knew the Green card problems when you came?

My lawyer says that her status is AOS from nowonwards. Even I can change job, that dosen't cause any issues for her 485, she says. What do you guys think? I want to change job. Also, I have read from some other forum, it would be good to work for the sponsoring company for 6 to 1 year after get the gc.

sorry to break the bad news to you,but this usually means a denial. My I 140 was approved recently, the online status cleared said it's approved. I read many posts on this forum who had the same online status as yours and their I 140's were denied.
Are you sure it would a straight denial or they can ask for more evidence? And if it is a denial then what are my options? I have another I140+I485 filed with my EB3 labor. Is it possible that denial of EB2 I-140 would affect my EB3 I-140 processing. I remeber that my attorney used my EB2-!-140 receipt when filed Eb3 I-140+I-485.

Well, I just wanted to throw this out there, since I did not get any definite answer from any forums.
When in need for I-485 issues, who is better to contact - Congressman or Senator.
I just want to know the pros and cons of each and maybe this analysis will help others down the line.
Points to note are:
1. There are more congressman in a particular state than senators. There are only 2 senators in a state.
2. Senators are more powerful than congressman (not sure that this power applies for talking to USCIS or not)
3. Senators and congressman have different terms in office. Hence is it better to contact someone who is going to stay longer, or someone who is up for election soon and hence may help.
4. For a particular USCIS case, can we contact both congressman and senator at the same time. Is this good.
Can members throw some light on this based on their prior experience and based on their knowledge.
Thanks in advance.
