I was digging on Wikipedia and other sources. I must have missed the part where Microsoft either sold or kept their stocks. I couldn't find hard evidence that they truly sold it. If they own 1/100 of a percent, then they are just keeping a light leash for some corporate reason.
Microsoft sold all of their Apple shares a long time ago.

Figured it out. It kept trying to relaunch because the wiki server was turned on for some reason(everything else was disabled). Disabled that and collabd quit.
Hi! I have the same problem and could you tell me how to disable the wiki server?
Thanks!

It saddens me to say it...but should I be abandoning the laser printer that I purchased only a year and a half ago. It's been sooooo long does either Apple or Epson ever plan to support my $400 paperweight?

I'm a teacher in the Bay Area. I can only do Macworld Expo for one day. In years past I went on Thursday or Friday. Is there a "best" day to go? MacWorld veterans, give me a hand.

Glad somebody posted about this. He was an amazing talent for sure, though frequently overshadowed by former bandmate David Sylvian.
He also played bass on a Kate Bush album and put out quite a few solo records. The Dalis Car record was a fascinating fiasco but Karn and Murphy were in discussions to produce a sequel this year. Unfortunately they were trying to put it together after Karn received his cancer diagnosis.
It's a shame he and Sylvian fell out and could never really work out their personal differences. The Japan "reunion" (Rain Tree Crow) in the early 90s produced some underrated material and I would have loved to hear more of it.
I was a huge Japan fan in high school, though that was in the mid-to-late 80s so I never did see the full band perform live. At least there's a lot of YouTube clips out there.
RIP Mick

I think a hard case would have higher protection.
i had a hard case before and my ipod fell from my loft bed (not even close to 2 metres), and fell apart and my ipod was dead.

In both cases of fopen(), you are assuming a particular value for current working directory, and from which your relative pathnames are assumed to be sensible.
I suggest checking your assumption of working directory, perhaps by NSLog()'ing the actual value, such as returned by the C function getcwd(). You should read the man page for getcwd() to see what its parameters are.

The thing is, though, that all of this data is used by Final Cut.
I've known professional software to be very very picky about where files are located and relocating them can freak it the **** out.
Currently, I'm not using any RAID solution. So Final Cut recognizes that all these bajillion million files are spread across four drives.
How would I ensure that Final Cut doesn't spaz out and have an anxiety attack over "missing" files?

I am planning to attend the Apple store launch event. I'm still unsure of what time I will arrive. It will likely be sometime after lunch. I hope that those of us arriving in the afternoon aren't late to the party.
I distinctly remember people lining up for Xbox, Wii, and PS3 launches hours and hours ahead of time.... like 8 to 12 hours ahead of time.....
Surely that's not the case here?

Nothing to do with the Air.... but Firefox 4.0 has a confirmed memory leak that will eventually choke your OS, unless you shut down FF frequently.
Not worth it IMO, until they get this fixed. There is also an issue with tabs and with startup remembering previous sessions.
Haven't had either of those issues. Whatever problems there were they fixed it in 4.01

Hi, I run Snow Leopard natively on my MBP, and have installed Windows 7 on bootcamp.
So, i boot into Win7 and i can read files on my Mac partition but i cant edit/ write to them.
I was wondering if there was any way to edit/write files on Mac partition while being in Win7 partition.
I've done my search and found MacDrive to be an option, but it costs a lot where i'm from. Are there any free alternatives?
Thanks :)

Well there's the clear Speck shell case.
I have the satin/matte black one on my Air and it doesn't add too much bulk/weight and it solves the hinge 'issue' (can't open with one hand easily b/c the bottom lifts up). Quite like it.
Haven't noticed any other similar cases yet (all the other 11" Air cases seem to be sleeves).
can you plug in the power cable both ways?

They ship more and more products to the market, their profits keep going up and up, truly there seems to be no end to this golden age. Apple is truly an achievement, soaring upwards cutting through this recession like a hot knife through butter. I love private business. <3

Looks like the NGP can be a game changer
And with Sony intentionally taking a hit on every sale it could easily be $250-$300

I don't think that will work. The MacPro uses ECC (error checking) ram. What you're looking at is Non-ECC . Here is a link to Crucial's 2010 Quad Mac Pro page. I've used them quite a few times and have never had any issues.
The link is to the U.S. Site but you can click over to the EU or British site in the upper right corner.
I hope you find this more helpful than the last post

Heh, after reading another thread I just thought of something else. Don't get too hung up on numbers. A couple of my favorite images were taken with a pinhole camera. Talk about anti-dpi: just a cardboard box, a piece of photo paper and sheet of copper with a tiny pinhole poked into it. One picture of a kitten has a nice, soft and etherial quality to it. Another taken down the length of a bleacher has almost limitless depth of field.
Even at 50MP it would be difficult to reproduce either of these images yet I still enjoy looking at them.

I'd imagine they added some major infrastructure to support the movie downloads, so, I'm betting the downloads overall will be a LOT faster with their upgrades.
Yeah, plus 4x the resolution on all videos.
They probably installed those new Intel Xservers.... I heard they are 16x as fast...:D
