Aero Snap. The new superbar. Expandable start menu. The Office ribbon. Stable as a rock OS. Just to name a few.
I agree with Maflynn. Where as Vista was rather dire, Windows 7 beats Snow Leopard. Only by a fraction, which is why I'm still happy using Snow Leopard, but it is still better. Windows has matured considerably, whereas OS X still feels a little juvenile like XP does.

Superbar is good but the dock provides a similar capability but through expose. No big deal here. Use hyperdock if you need the same experience.

Leopard packed some of the great features and become one of the most advanced OS's.

What I want;
-updated ACDs. They're getting on a bit. I predict the 20" display will go at least 1080 HD, iSight and IR in all models, faster response time, contrast, etc.
-MBP updates. Penryn sounds good at the moment. 2GB RAM standard, updated HDDs, maybe 17" LED display?

this is totally bull. Apple is in no position to stab Intel in their back at this time. Plus, Intel is being very reliable delivering on schedule the chips Apple needs. Maybe in few years if their relationship deteriorate I might consider seeing Apple moving into AMD. But it is not happening anytime soon.
I don't see any deterioration of Intel/Apple relations anytime soon, since the xeon and C2D chips are way better than anything on AMD's lineup. Plus, I doubt apple will bother making an obscure laptop model just to have AMD in its stable. It probably wont be pro status, and the fact that there are 3 different macbooks in the consumer level line makes the addition of another simply superfluous nonsense.

Motorola already has iTunes on the SLVR (only 100 songs, but with a removeable mini sandisk chip you can switch anytime you like!)
I'm betting that motorola was smart enough to hold the market for iTunes on phones for at least a year.
MBP - updated either before holidays or nothing until santa rosa

This arguement will go around and around in circles, but look, people could have been saved if the administration had not cut funds to FEMA and redirected them to the war in Iraq. If Bill could get impeached because he got head, then is it unreasonable to hold George acountable for this?

I think my problem for this screen isn't that I can't see such a screen size being used on the iphone, I just can't see it happening now.
I think my main reasoning behind this comes as a developer - a new screen would likely require a different resolution ratio (a change from the 320x480/640x960 we work with now) and to be truthful given the fragmentation issues Apple's always so keen to point out in the Android market...well lets say unless the new resolution also coincides somehow with iPad changes down the way I can't imagine it happening.

Core audio and core midi stabilized music processing at the operating system level, often driver-free, vis-a-vis OS9 or 8, and Windoze OS. X pretty much killed BeOS.

Apple commercials are bright, uplifting and show how technology enhances the human experience. They show people using iPads, iPhones, MacBooks, etc in everyday situations. However Android Zoom, BB Playbook, Tab are dark, joyless with people abducted by aliens, enveloped and overpowered by machines, etc.
Agreed, and it is the big long-term mistake Android marketers are making. When you appeal to young males in your ads, while repelling everyone else, you limit your product's long-term appeal. Gadget blogs don't see the problem because they are mostly young males.

I think the new specs and price cuts are good. I'm so tempted in buying one 23" with a new Mac Pro..
But somehow I think that Apple will come up with a new Mac Pro (new case enclosure) with new lineup of Apple Cinema Display in Spring 2007. Does anyone agree with me?..
